My Journey through the Success Challenge - Level 1 Session 3 Laying Out a Game Plan for Domination!

Day 3 of the 30 day program that teaches Entrepreneurs how to create a successful business online that can generate 10K or more per month in sales selling "other people's products".

Having completing my homework from session 2: Listening to the 13 principles again - as Vick stated and I'm sure you know as well repetition is the basis for all skills. Listening the second time I definitely picked up more insight that I added to my first batch of notes. The second task for homework was writing a clear concise statement of my goals and how I intended to achieve them with deadlines in place.  Definitely gives you a real perspective when you get specific- and as you will find out further in my blog here - You have to be specific to a 'T'.  Without getting into specifics my goal does include relocating my family and my business so there is a lot on the table for me.

Quick side note:  I have been working for a company not related to my personal business to help offset some of the costs in life.  After writing down my statement I gave my two weeks notice to them ....

Session 3 Introduction:  
Vick welcomes me back with a big smile and a ton of enthusiasm - asking if I completed all the previous session action steps and making sure I did my homework.  Prefacing the session by saying that moving forward we will be going through some unknown territory!

'...Be mindful of the Force of your Old Paradigm - it will try to hold you back.  People fail because of what happens to them emotionally as they try something New'. That is why the last session about bringing 'awareness' to me was where it was at in the Challenge.

You will never have it in your hand if don't envision it in your head (mind) first.  Don't put limitations on yourself.  "Don't filter your goal through your present situation" (this I found to be a very thought provoking statement.  As the everyday person tends to look at what their current situation is and think that their goal or dream is not possible because they are where they are).

"Create a future so compelling that it 'Pulls' you towards it!  Connect with your goal emotionally - it should motivate and inspire you!"  

As Vick has mentioned from the start - Reprogramming your mindset for success is as important as the process of creating and running your business.  First is reprogramming yourself and then getting yourself in the environment that will be conducive to it.  

"Visualize your goal in your mind and that will turn it into a reality and that's how you will achieve Greatness my friend!  Don't take this lightly!  This is good for your mental aspect as well."

"Don't be selective or put filters on the program.  The only people who get the most out of the program are the ones who have blind faith! Trust the process!  Where you are today will be reconditioned...not overnight but 'we' will work on it!  It took you how long to get conditioned to get the results you have now. Take your time ..."

Action Step 1:  How To Get The Life You Really Want - by Zig Ziglar

As part of an entrepreneurs mindset (paradigm) shift, Vick has me listening to an approximately 1 hour recording from the great Zig Ziglar - 'How To Get The Life You Really Want' 

The above link will take you to a recording on YouTube.  I highly, highly ...did I stress HIGHLY recommend you listen to as well no matter what you do in life.  I actually have listened to the recording several times prior to writing session 3 of the blog. What I have found to be very true on the audio's Vick has recommended to listen to so far, is each time you listen to them, you pick up more information that adds to your perspective and opens your mind to even more possibilities!

I wanted to share a few statements that Zig Ziglar quoted in his speech that really stood out to me.  

"If you don't think that you deserve success - you will do things that will keep you from getting them!"  A lot of times people have a 'poor self-image' of themselves which keeps them from pursuing the life they were truly meant to live.  

"In Order For a Goal to Be Effective - It MUST affect change!  If it doesn't (your Goal is not big enough)" 

Mr. Ziglar stresses the importance of 'committing' your goal to paper.  Having just the thought of what you would like to achieve versus writing it down are two different things.  

"Are you a wandering generality? Or are you a Meaningful Specific?"  That statement in itself speaks volumes!

Throughout his speech the importance of goals, committed goals and SPECIFIC detailed goals are reiterated.  

From what Vick is instilling in the first 3 sessions, backed by the recordings he has me listening to - it is apparent how important being truly committed really is in order to achieve the success I desire!

Action Step 2:  The Landscape of Affiliate Marketing

Vick discusses the huge difference between someone who is just an Affiliate Marketer and someone who is an Entrepreneur who uses affiliate marketing as a source of income.  

"Look at me as your guide!"  I will be turning you into a 'Master Marketer'!   We are going to operate differently so we don't end up like the millions of others out there that are failing.  

"This is why I am putting conditioning audios and personal growth ...to help shape your mind ... so that your results will be effortless.  

Throughout this step in Session 3 Vick reinforces and stresses how important it is to grow both on your personal side as well as your business side.    

"With affiliate marketing the potential is 'Unlimited'- You are only limited to your imagination!"

The 3 components of Affiliate Marketing are discussed in detail.  How Vendors, Customers and me (you) are connected.  

Every single thing needs to be thought out strategically so we are not wasting money, effort and time!  So everything that we do today is a stepping stone for tomorrow.  

"Everything we do will be strategic."  Building you as a 'brand' that will make you last!  So when money is invested in promoting a product the returns are maximized.

The challenge is the most "business results producing education (journey) you will ever embark on! 

Again committing to Greatness is stressed.  The actions you took before has brought you to where you are now.  "Everything happens for a reason.  You would not have the potential to achieve what you want if you were not here!  The actions we take now will determine where you will be in one month, three months ...the rest of your life."

Vick closes with "...Very important for 'us' to focus and to trust me and you will have something great happen to you". 

Action Step 3:  The Million Dollar Blueprint

"The mother of all marketing plans!  When you understand the blueprint you can write your own ticket!"

Vick explains in great depth how the million dollar blueprint is designed to help me separate myself from the masses.  He takes time to explain the reasons behind the actions and how bringing awareness to them allows me to be independent.

Side note:  Because this is Vick's blueprint, I will not be describing all if it in great detail.  If you take part in the challenge you will have access to the download of it, and Vick teaching it to you.  It is recommended to have the download laminated for future reference.  I took the time to have mine printed and laminated at FedEx.  As Vick states - moving forward the game plan for his marketing strategy stems from this blueprint.  The education Vick has shared in the first 3 sessions is well worth 10 times the $49 in itself.  

The blueprint is designed to maximize traffic, never waste clicks, and have a specific path to follow and channel your marketing strategy.  

Vick explains the 'Law of Compensation' and elaborates on how important understanding it is for creating my success.
1. The need for what you do (and how you identify that need)
2. My ability to fulfill that need
3. How difficult would it be to replace

We will be working with the Law of Compensation.  Sell one Core product but leverage around that product to create multiple streams of income.

Action Step 4:  Getting Basic Tools

The 3 basic necessary tools Vick lays out for me in this particular session that I must pick up to START building my business are ClickFunnels®, an auto responder and Click Magick.

(side note: this is EXCITING - starting to put the pieces of my business together!)

From what Vick is teaching you should get a ton of new ideas to implement for your NEW business!

For the auto-responder Vick said "there are several out there that are good, and you can use any of them.  Aweber, Get Response, Convert kit, etc.  Each has their own features that you might like... Their prices vary so pick something you are comfortable with."  Vick mentions that he was probably going to use Convert Kit (although another side note - I have personally used Get Response and Convert Kit and Convert kit does not allow affiliate marketing training programs like the Four Percent.  Even though this is a training program to teach Entrepreneurs how to start a business, they still would not allow me to use them ...so I would not personally recommend them.  Get Response comes with a Free 30 Day trial which is very beneficial to brand new Entrepreneurs.)

The tracking platform ClickMagick is so that you can track clicks and scale winners and cut the losers for when you promote your funnels created through ClickFunnels®. ClickMagick comes with a free 14 day trial. 

Vick states that he will explain the why's and how to use them in conjunction with the challenge in coming sessions. "My assignment for you is to just pick these basic tools up - you don't have to figure them out yet - just create your account."...he goes on to mention part of why he doesn't want to go into too much detail right now is to prevent overwhelm.  Just giving bite size pieces to get me started.

Below Action Step 4 are links to these different resources. Part of being an Entrepreneur and an Affiliate Marketer is when someone brings information and resources to your attention, you click through their links to give them credit for sharing their knowledge with you.

Vick finishes Session 3 with these statements:

"In business you cannot afford to cut any corners with what I am telling you here because that will show up later"

"We want to Maximize our effectiveness by properly structuring everything now."

"Focus - if you do you can have a Brand New Life!"

My Journey through the Success Challenge - Level 1 Session 2 Commitment and Focus!

Day 2 of the 30 day program that teaches Entrepreneurs how to create a successful business online that can generate 10K or more per month in sales selling "other people's products".

Before I get into the specific details of today's training I wanted to share a personal note (from my perspective in life)  This session by far is one of the most powerful training sessions I have ever been through in my life.  Vick explains paradigms and why you are who you are and think the way you do and what it will take to break through! 

I jump into day 2 of the challenge excited and eager to learn more from my new Mentor Vick.  After the 24 hour timer allows me to  start, I think to myself, I wish I could have activated the timer sooner - but there must be a reason for it.  Vick did say there was a reason for everything that he says, shows and does and to follow them specifically to a 'T'.  So there has to be a 'method to the madness' ...Which I quickly find out in the opening video.

The intro video to session 2 starts with Vick welcoming me back and asking "Did you get your goal card made?" And if I followed all of the action steps in session 1 - of which of course answer yes out loud.

The straight forward one to one talk Vick is having with me does make it seem like he is right in front of me talking to me.  As he stands in front of his white board and looks at me straight in the eyes.  He said it was going to be a workshop style training not a lecture, and his relaxed demeanor makes it a comfortable platform to learn from.

"The outcome of the challenge is to change you completely!  As a marketer, entrepreneur and as a human being...  The changing as a human being is what comes first... If it were easy everyone would be doing it, however it's only the people who know how to do it right are the ones that are successful."  That's why only 4 out of every 100 are successful and the rest are like sheep just following along whatever opportunity comes along.  The 4 decide what they want and go after it with a clear decisive plan to achieve their goal.

"You are here, You are in the Right Place, I hope you are doing your assignments and your previous steps are completed thoroughly and 100%. ...You have your goal card made ...Take this seriously - We are talking about your future here!  This is just a mile stone (as he points to $10,000 on the white board) it's who you become to get here..."  That will determine your outcome- you will get the knowledge and will be able to replicate what you learn.  "It's going to set you free for the rest of your life ...I really hope you understand what you got yourself into here!" That statement in itself shows Vick's conviction as to what he will be sharing.

I found myself shaking my head yes and saying let's do this.

Vick stresses the importance of the goal card and how I need to take this seriously.  That we are going to be referring to it in every session.  What is important to point out, that since I made my goal card and had it laminated at FedEx (was $2.85 for them to print and laminate) is that I did put in my pocket and found myself looking at it throughout the day between session 1 and 2.  And like Earl Nightingale mentioned in 'The Strangest Secret' - "look at it several times a day and before going to bed at night, and again first thing when you wake up".  It may seem trivial to some, but it's not - more on that to follow.

As the opening introduction continues.  Vick continues to inspire and motivate and put my mind in the 'right' frame of mind for success.  He has a unique energy about him and his ability to deliver a message that hits home is surprising.

As he pre-frames the rest of session 2 some points that get me more pumped are:
- I will be in the trenches with you
-"If you have been praying, have been asking for a miracle, you got it right here ...the question is how committed, dedicated, and how close will you follow the instructions, how close will you follow the program.  I'm going to leave no stone un-turned."
-I will do everything with you - getting setup, products, marketing, strategies.
-Goal Card:  have it with you every single day - it is what you are working for!

Vick discusses the difference between listening & hearing.  How it may be important to listen to each step more than once.  "Tune out all distractions and let's focus - Trust the source. If you don't trust 100% (right now) listen to your heart and instinct.  I will walk you through a path that is real, the truth, and is proven!  I really want you to succeed but you have to be Hungry and Starving for success!"

(this is from me personally here) I once heard an Entrepreneur make the statement "You don't need a mentor, part of being an entrepreneur is making mistakes and figuring it out on your own". When I heard this Entrepreneur make this statement I unsubscribed from him right away.  Do you realize that every great Entrepreneur had a mentor?  It's true - Tony Robbins, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg and the list goes on.  So is a mentor important - from what I have read, understand and am seeing first hand now I say "hell to the yes" lol.

As the training continues Vick discusses covering the 'Truth about Invisible Power'.  He points out that never be resentful or jealous of what you secretly desire.  If you see someone that has a nice car or house or whatever 'bless that person'.  Again this all has to do with mindset and how you perceive success and successful people.  He again mentions the goal card "If your goal doesn't scare you - then it is not big enough!  The difference between a goal and a vision is a deadline! A vision will always evolve."

Action Step 1:  Paradigms - How to re-wire yourself for success.

This 49 minute video literally pays for the program in itself.  Vick discusses how your current situation is based on your paradigm.  What created your current paradigm and how to break through the "Terror Barrier" which is what prevents most people and entrepreneurs from succeeding.

I cannot stress how powerful this step is.  This is something that should be taught in schools.  Personally I will have both of my sons listen to this step - because it is something that will change your perspective on yourself and your life.

I would not do Vick justice by explaining on his behalf.

But in a short overview in my words:  We are who we are based on our upbringing and how that has conditioned our subconscious mind.  How through repetition and positive reinforcement you can break through that barrier - the barrier between your current comfort zone and the life you truly desire.  And that is where Vick as my mentor, will help me break through that wall (aka Terror Barrier).

To reinforce what he has explained with 'breaking' your current paradigm and re-wiring for success, Vick has a recording in step 2 that reinforces what I need to do in order to reprogram my thinking.

Action Step 2: The 13 Principles

"Think And Grow Rich" By Napoleon Hill is one of the 'All-Time' best selling books for Entrepreneurs and those looking to achieve success in life.  It is the one book that has impacted and influenced more successful lives than any other book!

Before clicking on the recording for the "13 Principles", there is a statement that reads 'Listen to this message at least 3 times a week, everything that we will be doing for the rest of the program is based on these 13 principles'.  After reading that statement I got a big smile on my face and thought ~ a mentor in Vick + a guided path + the 13 principles of Napoleon Hill = If I continue to follow this to a 'T' I am going to crush it!

If you have never read Think and Grow Rich, I highly recommend it.  I have read it and it is mind blowing when you try to put it into context with your everyday life or business.  But what if someone helped me, i.e. Vick, in incorporating those principles? There would be no limit to how far I could go!!

The video recording is about 40 minutes long.  It is a condensed version of the book narrated by Earl Nightingale (remember yesterday's recording "The Strangest Secret").

Earl gives a break down of the exact 13 principles discussed in the book. I highly encourage you to listen to this recording (youtube link of recording not from my youtube account) and make notes as I did while I was listening to it.  I actually stopped a few times and replayed some of the recording to make sure I had it right in my notes.

I would post my notes here, but truthfully it would benefit you more directly if you listened for yourself.  Plus that way you can book mark the recording and have it for later reference and listening.

At the end of the recording Napoleon Hill comes on himself and leaves with a powerful message "Don't search for opportunity in the distance, but recognize and embrace it right where you are!"

Action Step 3:  Let's have a real heart to heart talk

This step Vick looks at me straight in the eye and says "Can I have a one on one with you? I really care about your success! Probably more than you care for yourself at this point, but I get it because you might not know me too well...The rest of the program is going to be about 70% marketing and 30% reinforcement of ideas... The adding of the 'Automatic Success Mechanism Enhancer' component...Introduce you to some of my Mentors (Vick's mentors), were going to get into diet, your physical self, exercise...because everything matters ...when it comes to your success!"

Everything that is being presented to you is here for a reason.

The rest of the program is going to be based off of the 13 principles in Think and Grow Rich.

When you have the awareness - you can create this over and over again. Vick is going to help me develop my potential with the right awareness.

Vick proceeds to go over his notes from the 13 principles that Napoleon Hill talked about.

**One of the key components of the 13 principles is in the "Desire" principle.  "Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire and begin at once, whether you are ready or not, to put this plan into action!"**

Throughout discussing the 13 principles, Vick continually reinforces that I need to commit to doing this.

"Please do this as if your life depends on it! ...If your goal card gets you fired up ...if it doesn't inspire you - it's not big enough ...it should get your blood pumping ... this is YOUR Shot - You can do this!"

Some key statements that echo in my head after watching this step is:
-Never change your goal - may have to pivot or alter the course to get to it - but never change your goal!
-We are doing this together
-Don't make your decision based on your current situation - (this statement is true to a "T".  I am, and you are, where you are at based on our decisions we have made - they got us to the point we are at.  If we want to truly succeed we cannot let 'our' here and now situation dictate our future)
-This program is not like any other program out there
-I promise we will make this happen together!
-The power of the mastermind component (Think & Grow Rich) starts here in the program. Moving forward Vick will have Entrepreneur Masterminds at various times.
- Repetition is the mother of all skill

Again Vick reinforces "I want you to be successful.  I want you to be on the same side of the table as me...on the same team"

Vick asks me directly to:
1 - commit to completion of the whole program
2 - commit to going all out
3 - commit to being resourceful (mentions that he will not recommend that I purchase anything that is not used in setting up my personal business)
4 - commit to no plan B
5 - commit to creating a Better Life for myself

A bold statement made by Vick was "If you follow every session and action step to a "T" ...by the end of session 10 you will think, act and behave differently then you did in session 1...you will become addicted to this ... you deserve it, you owe it to yourself ...Go Full Out - This will GIVE you a Brand New Life!"

Take a picture of yourself with your goal card and post in facebook group.
Inspire one person today

Action Step 4:  Session Complete

So as I sit here contemplating what I have just experienced the past two days ...

He is genuine in his desire to help me succeed.
This program is like no other program - I have never experienced something this detailed and we haven't even started setting up our business or using marketing tools or strategies.

Am I committed! "Heck Yes!" Will I make it happen - yes or I will die trying is what I declared to myself!

Will I do my homework - definitely - I made that commitment to myself and to my sons and family.  I will do whatever it takes and whatever I need to do to make it happen!

So far the heavy dose of motivation and inspiration is setting the foundation on what we are about to dive into!  If you can't commit to your own personal goals and commit to making it happen - then the program will not work.  You have to believe in yourself and your desires first then follow through with a definite plan (just like Think and Grow Rich talks about)

I am excited about what is yet to come and already fired up for session 3 tomorrow.

I will end with one final quote from Vick that he mentions in both session 1 and 2 is "If you are sick and tired of being sick and tired ..." Am I - YES!

I'm logged in - click on the challenge and My New Mentor Vick Strizheus is standing in front of me smiling away.  After watching the intro and finding out about the metaphorical "success pill" - I get excited ready to dive into the Session 1 training.  I am fired up - honestly excited like the first time I went out on a date with the girl of my dreams! Not knowing what to expect but excited because I know this is going to be the ONE that changes it all for me!

I made that commitment to myself that I was going to go all in and give this all I had or die trying to make it work ...

drum roll please ... I click on the intro video and the Four Percent success pill comes rolling across the screen with a catchy background music playing - it is catchy and upbeat and got me excited!

The Four Percent Affiliate Marketing Success Challenge
Session 1 The Beginning

"Welcome to the Four Percent Success Challenge for Affiliate Marketing! My name is Vick Strizheus and I am so happy that you are here! I'm pumped and excited that you are here because I know what you are about to get into, how powerful this program is and what it can do for you if you follow it to a 'T'! I can promise you that this program can CHANGE YOUR LIFE!"

The energy and enthusiasm that comes across is powerful! My new Mentor Vick is a 30 something man that has a lot of energy and likeable charisma.  He spends a few minutes discussing his background and how he himself went from absolutely nothing to having a mentor and going from a 'crappy one bedroom apartment' to making millions online selling other people's products.  Why he created the Four Percent group and how he wants to teach what he has learned from his past 14+ years to me and make me the next great success story!

I found myself excited and smiling while watching the little over 1 hour introduction video that laid the guidelines for Level 1 of the challenge.

A very quick general overview of what level 1 covers:

Messaging (unique message)
Core skill sets in Marketing
Multi-Channel prospect acquisition

As he asks me "Can you commit to your success? Can you commit to doing whatever it takes?" I found myself saying 'yes' out loud.

In the introduction video the strategy for achieving the 10K a month in sales is reviewed and what I will need to do in order to achieve it.  Most importantly what is re-iterated throughout is the IMPORTANCE of being 100% committed and dedicated to following every step.

There is a pattern for success - following specific steps in order.
There is a pattern for failure - watch what you only want to watch.
FOCUS on the program and unsubscribe from every distraction!

Having a mentor shows me why it is important to listen and do everything that your mentor tells you to do. I am here because of the opportunities I have tried in the past didn't work out, they weren't based on a solid foundation or they were one and done opportunities.  So why would I start a program to learn how to build a business and become successful and not listen and do what I was told?

"My job is to help you build your independence, so you can call your shots and help you develop yourself that will make you unconciously competent for Success! How to Compound your efforts into smartwork that will transform your life and allow you to live the life you have always dreamed of!"

Thinking about Vick as my mentor or your mentor.  A mentor like any teacher wants their student to succeed - right?  Their success is based on how well they can teach their student.  If the student succeeds -then they have achieved their goal.  So if Vick teaches me everything that he knows about how to do affiliate marketing the right way and I follow each step specifically - the end result (10K in sales per month) should be achieved!

An important fact shared during the intro video that I want to share with you is Rule #1 for your success:  Your income follows your personal growth and value!  Your success will be dependent on
A-Need for what you do
B-Ability to do it
C-How difficult will it be to replace you
Keep your focus on the activities that produce the most results.

Paradigm shift is a critical component to being successful not just in marketing but in life.  We are all pre-conditioned based on what we have been exposed to our entire life.  In each daily session the challenge "will focus on 'busting' our current paradigm and change our thermostat when it comes to money and to success".

Mark my words "The only way you will not succeed with this program is if you quit or you do not follow the steps" - Powerful words spoke with conviction by Vick.

"Go through like your life depended on it! Convenience and Greatness Do not Mix!" Are two phrases Vick mentioned that keep repeating themselves over in my head.

The intro video ends with Vick sharing these inspiring words "It's about you, lets help you get yourself on solid ground! You owe it to yourself, your kids, your family, your loved ones to be successful ...Success is Your Responsibility - Let's make it happen my friend!"

Action Step 1 is a simple step.  Completing your profile and getting sms connnected.

Action Step 2 is completing a one minute anonymous survey.  A before and after type survey to see where you currently are at in business or your personal endeavors.   Down the road at the end of level 1 will be another survey.

Action Step 3 'Activating Your Inner Success' - listening to an audio recording that changed Vick's life.  There is a short 15 minute video from Vick explaining the importance of why he recommends specific things for us to listen to.  How everything he shares will impact our future and outcome with the challenge. When you listen to the recording "The Strangest Secret" by Earl Nightingale keep an open heart and mind.

This recording and everything that Vick shares will start changing your paradigm and help you start understanding the laws that govern money.  "There are laws that govern everything, however very few people understand them". 

Action Step 4 Create Your Personal Goal Card -  In this 25 minute step - Vick discusses the importance of making it a habit to listen and grow yourself daily.  'We are conditioned and programmed by our environment.  What goes into your subconcious mind needs to be positive and inspirational. This will help you hae a clear focus and give you a clear direction of where you want to go!

The 3 levels of goals
1.  Know  (my present situation)
2.  Think (what I think I can do)
3.  Fantasy (what do I REALLY want)

Vick shares a downloadable goal card that you can use and have professionally laminated so that you can carry it around with you and look at it the moment you wake up, several times throughout the day, and the last thing you look at before you go to sleep.

It will help you create an emonitonal connection with your Goal.

Action Step 5 - Completion - after I completeted watching every minute of every video above, and completed each action step - I clicked complete.  (side note: make sure you double check and make sure the timer at the top right corner starts counting down.  If the timer does not, re-check the completion box and make sure again).

The timer starts counting down from 24 hours until the next session of level 1 opens up.

As I reflect on everything that I have watched and listened to I cannot help but know I am in the right place.  Yes it took me some time to watch everything and take notes, however every minute was worth it and then some.

Throughout the training ideas started coming to me, as Vick shared his insight I had a lot of "you are right" moments and some that flipped on the light switch as to why I am where I am today...and how I can change that!

I realized right away that it is called the challenge not for Vick to challenge me to doing the steps, but for me to challenge myself into making the commitment to follow through, be a good student, give 100%, never give up and succeed at all costs!

For those expecting the Challenge to be a quick button riches opportunity - it is not.  It is a training program designed to teach how to create a solid business online that will result in me achieving financial independence and the life I have always dreamed of.

In one of the opening videos for the Success Challenge Vick made a comment that sums up Level 1 Session 1 of the Affiliate Marketing Success Challenge "Congratulations you made a commitment to creating a better life for you and your family!"

I am on that path ...session 2 tomorrow!
